Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve collected the most important questions and answers about the studio, our classes, and pricing.

The Élan Experience & Concept

What does the studio name “Élan” mean?

“Élan” is a French word meaning inner strength, momentum, and vitality. This is what inspired us when we founded the studio: we want our guests to take this energy with them into their everyday lives – leaving us feeling stronger, more flexible, and more confident.

What kind of atmosphere can I expect at the studio?

The studio was inspired by quiet luxury, a rustic Mediterranean lifestyle, slow living, and the atmosphere of the French countryside. We created a warm, elegant, feminine, and nature-inspired environment that invites you to slow down and truly disconnect from the rush of everyday life.

Who is Élan Pilates for? Can men also visit the studio?

Movement is for everyone, which is why our doors are open to anyone. We primarily welcome premium guests from the surrounding area – mainly women, but men are of course welcome too. In terms of age, everyone from teenagers aged 15 to older generations is welcome.

Can I stay for a while after my class?

Absolutely! We strongly believe in the power of micro-communities. Don’t rush off after your workout – our terrace seating is waiting for you, with a delicious coffee to accompany your post-workout conversations. Feel free to stay, relax, chat, and connect with yourself and others.

Classes, Equipment & Practical Information

Can I join the classes as a complete beginner?

Absolutely! Our qualified instructors can offer modifications and progressions for every exercise, allowing everyone to participate and develop according to their current fitness, energy, and experience level. Our Flow class, for example, is particularly suitable for beginners and those returning to exercise.

What types of group classes are available at the studio?

You can currently choose from four different class types:

  • Flow: Smoothly connected exercises that stretch, strengthen, and harmonize the body. The focus is on control, breathing, and fluid movement.
  • Dynamic: A faster-paced, more intense workout with more athletic elements. An excellent choice for developing strength and endurance.
  • Functional: Combines Pilates principles with varied exercises designed to improve everyday movement patterns, stability, and coordination.
  • Booty & Core: Focuses specifically on strengthening the glutes and deep core muscles while developing overall body stability.
How many reformers are there in the studio, and how large are the classes?

Our studio has 5 premium reformer machines. All group classes are 55 minutes long, with a maximum of just 5 participants. This ensures that everyone has enough space and that our instructors can provide dedicated, personalized attention.

What type of reformers does the studio have?

We’ve brought you some of the best Pilates equipment on the market. Our studio is equipped with Align-Pilates C8 PRO RC reformers. Their high-quality materials and easy handling are designed to provide a truly premium experience.

Is there also a mat Pilates room at the studio?

Absolutely! We have a dedicated space for mat Pilates, with the opening and launch of these classes planned for sometime in the autumn.

Who are the Élan Pilates instructors?

Our professional and dedicated team is here to support your safe and continuous development:

  • Dunaveczki Diána: Teacher, reformer and mat Pilates instructor, barre and spine trainer. Her mission is to teach mindful body use and promote preventive, spine-protective movement.
  • Romos Zsófi Liza: A former ballet dancer, bringing precision and control to her teaching. Her university studies in dietetics have also given her extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, supporting safe and conscious movement.
How often should I attend?

Even one class a week means you’re doing more for yourself than if you stayed at home. Two classes a week are an excellent complement to any other form of exercise, while 3–4 classes per week can help you achieve more visible and lasting results.

How early should I arrive before class?

We generally recommend arriving 10 minutes before the start. This gives you enough time to change comfortably, use the restroom, or have a few sips of water before class without rushing.

What should I wear to class?

Comfortable sportswear that preferably follows the lines of your body is recommended, so the instructor can clearly see your movements and make corrections when necessary. For safety and hygiene reasons, grip socks / anti-slip socksare also required.

Do I need to bring my own water bottle?

Not at all! We provide fresh water and a premium collagen drink at every class, both included in the price of your session.
